Blake's very first strawberry!

These strawberries were so unbelievably soft that I wasn't worried about giving her the whole thing.  

She loved it!

Grand total: 11 pounds

All done!  Three bags to be frozen, and the rest for the fridge.

We joke about hoping that it will be enough to last us a few days, but we do have big plans for some of it this weekend.

A good day

We all need one once in a while.

Bread (undercooked) and zucchini muffins (overcooked)

Hollie loved helping me mix the dough for both recipes, 

but she was dying to play in the flour.

That can be arranged, I said.

I did not ask her to do this, but just saw it afterward while we were cleaning up.  Perfect!

I know you've all been anxiously patiently awaiting pictures/video of the new condo.

ARGH.  The baby talk.  Acceptable from Blake, but from Hollie...boy, it's one of those things that just touches a nerve for me.  I try to ignore it, speak to her the way I would like her to speak, and really, 99% of the time she speaks very well.  But every once in a while...I think, when she feels a little bit of pressure or that she's on the spot in some way...doo! doo! doo!  and the conversation is over.  Or, like in the video, I'm repeating myself like a broken record.  I know she'll grow out of it.  I hope, anyway.

Last weekend we went to Hollie's first ballet class!  By complete coincidence, Cousin Juliet was attending her first class the very same day.  

Getting ready at home.  Dancing already, with shoes on her hands!

Tried to get a good picture again before going into class, but someone was too excited to look at the camera!

The instructor, Miss Kelly, started off by reading a book about ballet.  She knows the way to my girl's heart, no doubt about that!

I love this one.  :)

She couldn't stop!  They were supposed to get down and be still for a second before jumping up again, but Hollie said, hmmmmm, nope!

Blake had sooo much fun watching through the window.  She just laughed and shrieked the whole time.

All done!

She didn't follow instructions to the letter, but she really enjoyed it, and can't wait for another class tomorrow!
